What was the Project
The goal of this project was to redesign Cooke’s logo. Cooke’s is a small local store in Kingston Ontario providing a wide and eclectic variety of foods, they have a rich history that stretches back to the 1800s and thus their logo hasn’t changed much. I was to research their company to assess key factors that went into their business and to create a new fresh logo for them.
The process
It began as all good stories do with the research of Cooke’s and some of the surrounding area, Kingston is rich with Canadian history. Cooke’s is very well known for being a local coffee roaster which would be key information I would continue with further. I developed many preliminary sketches which would be whittled down in the end to two and then one.
The result
My satisfaction with this project is great I am proud of the outcome the feedback and advice I was given throughout the assignment helped lead to this end. The logo has character and sophistication, all things representative of Cooke’s.
