Farm boy packaging re-design
Package design, Print
Illustrator, prototype construction

What was the Project
This project was a packaging design for Farm Boy. Farm Boy is an Ontario grocery company which has a wide variety of products many of which are under their name and brand. The goal of this project was to redesign an existing product packaging with 2 things in mind, designing with a sustainable material in mind and creating an intriguing and original physical design. The target audience was expanded from originally for children for school lunches to children and adults. All the same information from the package needed to be on the new design, health information, dietary information, and ingredients. Physically having the original product was very important to coming up with a design

The process
It began with researching other products and companies and what kind of packaging they had, then coming up with a packaging design of the box itself. How was it going to be ingenious, stand out, and solve a problem? A cookie dispenser! Prototyping the physical box design came up with the design of the packaging. It didn’t take long after the physical package design was done the printed part took some time to get to look cohesive or on-brand. Revisions were minor making sure the files were properly put together.
The result
I liked having a physical product that I got to print off and make. The Farmboy was pleased with his product. If I were to do it again, I might create a few extra different designs to denote different flavours of cookies.
